Since addiction is a chronic disease with a multi-faceted etiology, AMHA utilizes a holistic and eclectic treatment approach. The AMHA treatment staff views each patient as an individual whose concerns and needs are distinct and different.  Our aim is to match each patient with the appropriate course of treatment.  A treatment plan is developed in collaboration with the patient to address their specific needs, values and goals.

In addition to providing professional treatment interventions to patients and their families, AMHA's mission is to provide information, referral services and education to the broader community regarding the impact of addiction on society and the valuable role of treatment as part of an overall recovery process.
